This multi-day production for Omnipod was one of the most complex productions I've taken on. Over the course of the project, we worked through a residential home — shooting in the kitchen, dining room, bedroom, back porch, and backyard pool area. Then we moved on to a school, where we captured moments in the classroom, common areas, and wood shop, followed by a park, and medical setting.
The biggest logistical feat came when we needed medical settings but couldn't find a hospital, clinic, or pharmacy that had everything we needed. So we built them ourselves. My team constructed two fully realized exam rooms and a complete pharmacy set inside a co-working space, and the results were seamless.
An additional layer of complexity came with the products themselves. Capturing the Omnipod and glucose monitor — sometimes both in the same frame — required careful attention to placement on the backs of talent's arms, legs and hips, ensuring the devices were correctly positioned, clearly visible, and naturally integrated into each scene without feeling staged.
The throughline across all of it was the same message Omnipod embodies: that managing diabetes shouldn't hold you back from anything. Whether at the pool, at home, or at the office, the imagery puts real life front and center, with the product quietly but powerfully along for the ride.
