Shooting for Rezdiffra — a treatment for MASH liver disease from Madrigal Pharmaceuticals — with the incredible creative team at MRM is some of the most rewarding and demanding work I do. These are multi-location broadcast productions, and my role on them is anything but singular. At any given moment I might be shadow shooting alongside the broadcast video crew, capturing social content on my phone or DSLR, or running an entirely separate scenes at a different location with my own full crew — assistants, stylists, hair and makeup — all happening simultaneously.
We've taken these productions across Texas, California, and Georgia, working with both hired talent and real patients telling their own stories. That mix keeps things genuinely interesting. A football coach on a Friday night field, an artist painting in a sun-drenched studio, a teacher energizing a pep rally — each story is its own world, and each requires a completely different approach to styling, lighting, and tone to feel authentic to that person's life.
Some days that means a chaotic family scene in their kitchen, or walk around the neighborhood with friends and their pets. Other days it means coordinating full stadiums and gyms packed with students and fans, managing a football team, cheer squads, and a marching band — all while making sure every frame tells the right story. And then there are the times when you find yourself turning the corner of a school classroom into a convincing doctor's office and hoping nobody looks too closely at the alphabet poster just out of frame.
The scale and the surprises can shift dramatically from one setup to the next — and being ready for all of it is part of what makes this work so exhilarating. The imagery here is just a glimpse — more is on the way as this ongoing collaboration continues to grow.
