The Reserve at St. Charles Bay, a private luxury waterfront community nestled on the secluded Lamar Peninsula in Rockport, TX, is one of those rare places that genuinely sells itself. My job was to make sure the imagery lived up to the place and it’s stunning surroundings.

The creative direction came from White Hat, an Austin-based integrated marketing agency with deep expertise in luxury real estate and premium brand storytelling. Forest and Pine, my longtime collaborators, handled the video side with their signature cinematic flair. When these two teams are in the mix, the work is always better for it.

My focus was on the stills, and the location did a lot of the heavy lifting. Sunrise light stretching across the bay from the bow of a boat, teens on the dock proudly reeling in their catch, couples wading in to fly fish with their home literally steps behind them, boats gliding past at golden hour. The whole shoot felt less like work and more like a very productive weekend on the water.

The goal was to make viewers feel the place before they ever set foot there…to communicate that life at St. Charles Bay isn't just beautiful, it's the kind of unhurried, connected, on-the-water life that's genuinely hard to find anywhere else on the Texas coast.
